Plant city car show today at 4 p.m. in downtown Newburgh
This year’s edition of the Plant City Classic will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Central Presbyterian Church, 5 S. Front St.
The car show is free and open to the public. There will be food, entertainment and a 50/50 raffle, according to the event’s Facebook page.
Central Presbyterian Church will be decorated for Easter and will have a “Holy Trinity” altar.
The Newburgh Elks Club, which sponsors the event, will provide live music.
This year, the event will feature entries in an array of categories, from sports cars to show cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, trucks, SUVs and more.
Also, there will be “stations” where attendees can check out a selection of “show cars.”
The Newburgh Elks Club will also have a 50/50 raffle for cars and items, including $2,000 in cash. Tickets are available in the church and can be purchased for $20 each or in the form of a “pot” for $1,200.
Last year, the Newburgh Elks Club raised $2,300 for the South Florida Food Bank.
Those interested in entering cars or participating in the raffle can call (845) 576-1135.
This is the 12th annual Plant City Classic, which is the city’s premier car show.
It’s produced by the Newburgh Elks Club and the city of Plant City.
